I still can’t afford this house. The room above the garage alone is half the size of my home. I won’t stop dreaming, though.

The world’s all like, “don’t reach for the moon, Zoidberg.”
And Zoidberg’s all like, “I’m not, the moon’s reaching for me.”

It’s a pretty ugly house anyway. You can do better.

Out of curiosity where is this house and how much would it cost?

Yeah I’d be happy with just the half with the Garages

I want the garage and over the garage.

I’ll throw down some cash if we can do a joint garage ownership deal.
How many bays would I get for $20?

Just imagine. In 6 months, your house will be worth so much you can sell it and buy 3000sq-ft on 10 acres in Pennsylvania.

Those look like standard height garage doors. Therefore, pretty much useless.
I would still keep the garage part, then convert the other half into another garage with double height / double width garage doors. I would use 1/2 to park my bulldozer, and leave the other half open for future usage.
Why it would be designed otherwise baffles me. People are weird.

Over an hour northeast of Seattle, this sold for over $645,000

Wow that is a great price. Where I live, a nice-ish townhouse is around $400k smh.

Don’t feel disheartened friend, I’m about sell my house and cannot afford what I’m asking, and cannot afford anything in my area that is safe (structural, etc). So my wife, baby, 2 Brittanys, and I are downsizing to a 1 bedroom apartment after the sale to wait out the Nashville market for at least 1 year.

In my area this would be a $300-$400k house with probably 5 acres. That’s the only thing I will miss once I leave here. However the Pensacola area also has relatively cheap property too.

heck, right now - with change to spare... Seattle metro market is crazy bonkers in the last couple months after Canada limited foreign money for residential properties....

I am irked by the shingles on the dormers, and the general PNW pseudo-craftsman aesthetic (although this one has it pretty light). Too big, built to a price.

Yep, doing myself a concern friend-o but at least I will be able to go on vacation, restore my Land Rover, further modify my FoST, and do fun stuff with mah doggos.

If it was
in
Seattle, it would have gone for a million dollars. Or more, depending on the lot.

I don’t even live in a big city. I live in the suburbs of northern VA about 20 minutes from D.C.
